Lower Pot Point Boulder Field Campground

Campsite Info
This free campground offers 3 backcountry campsites on the Pot Point Nature Trail. All sites have an elevated platform, picnic table, and fire ring. The campsites also have access to a groundwater spring (water filtration/sterilization required).The sites are roughly 1.3 miles from the trailhead parking lot. Each campsite is located on a flat terrace with large boulders scattered throughout. Reservations can be made below. We hope you enjoy these unique backcountry campsites!

Directions
Please refer to the map below to identify the exact locations of the campsites. The campsites are also marked with wood signs. The trailhead (marked in the above map) is located directly across the road from the Pot Point Cabin, 17805 River Canyon Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37405. Please park at this parking lot when camping.

Climbing
In partnership with the Southeastern Climbers Coalition, we have developed over 30 boulders that have seen seldom climbing in the past. The boulder field is located on the map below.
General Camping Information
There is a 5-day maximum stay at our campsites. Consecutive reservations of 5 days must have a 7-day buffer period between reservations

Campers must check out by 11:00 AM ET and campers may check in as early as 12:00 PM ET
Camping at our campsites requires a permit (see below)
The Boulder Field Campground has 2 campsites
The Boulder Field Campground is a hike-in site roughly 1.3 miles from the trailhead parking lot
Please leave your vehicle at the trailhead parking lot when camping

To apply for a camping permit to our Lower Pot Point Boulder Field campsites, please fill out the form below at least one full business day before you plan to camp. The campground is accessible from the Pot Point Nature Loop and Ritchie Hollow Trailhead. The trailhead is located at 17805 River Canyon Rd. Chattanooga, TN 37405.
