The largest environmental film festival in North America is coming to Chattanooga, Tennessee. Join the Tennessee River Gorge Trust when they host the Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival Tour at the Tennessee Aquarium on Sunday, October 21st.

The Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival Tour brings together award-winning environmental films in a spirit of inspiration and education. Whether it is the struggle for environmental justice, information on renewable energy or an educational tale about an endangered species, the films bring awareness to the natural world around us and our role in that delicate balance.

"Our mission is to inspire those in attendance to take action on behalf of the environment," says Susie Sutphin, festival tour manager.

The film festival was started in 2003 by The South Yuba Rivers Citizens League as a fundraiser for the Yuba River in Nevada County, CA. Now in its fifth year, the Festival Tour partners with environmental groups like the Tennessee River Gorge Trust to raise awareness for both local and global issues. Featured at the event in Chattanooga are films ranging from an animated short about a midnight trip to the moon to a full-length documentary on restoring Yosemite's beautiful Hetch Hetchy Valley.

All proceeds from the event help fulfill the Tennessee River Gorge Trust's mission to enrich our community by conservation of the Tennessee River Gorge through land protection, education and the promotion of good land stewardship.

Special Thanks to our Sponsors:  Tennessee Aquarium, Greenlife Grocery, Rock/Creek Outfitters, Chattem, Blue Moon Cruises, 212 Market and Chattanooga Coca-Cola Bottling Company.
