Jim is a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and is currently living in Hixson with his wife of 35 years, Glenda Brown.  Together they have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren.  Jim was a founding board member and has worked for the Trust for over 17 years.  He was appointed Executive Director in 1995.  Before joining the Trust he worked as a Forestry Technician with the State of Tennessee, and thus brought with him extensive knowledge of land management techniques and the native flora and fauna of our area.  Jim is an avid gardener, outdoorsman, history buff, and is a fan of any kind of science fiction.

Julie and her husband, Joe Beach, reside in Falling Water with their two sons, Drew and Luke, their 14 year old chocolate lab, Doc, and Buddy the cockatiel.  Julie is a native of Chattanooga and has worked at the Trust for over 16 years.  During the week, she enjoys her multiple duties of fundraising, special events planning, and bookkeeping.  Julie is on the Board of Directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and volunteers for St. Jude Catholic School.  Her other interests include cheering on her sons’ baseball teams, hiking, enjoying nature, and an occasional Sudoku puzzle.

Jennifer Sexton

Jennifer joined the organization in 2007 as a summer intern and was later hired on as Administrative Assistant.  She has a B.S. in Biology from Purdue University and will be graduating the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Master’s in Environmental Science in August 2008.  She is a native of Indiana, but has enjoyed living in the south since 2000.  Her fiancé, Bill Marion, currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama.  They hope to tie the knot in Hawaii in the fall of 2008.  Together they spend their weekends hiking, camping, bird-watching, white-water rafting, and cooking.

Sarah is the Shared Volunteer Coordinator for the Tennessee River Gorge Trust, Lookout Mountain Conservancy, and Reflection Riding Arboretum and Botanical Garden.  She enjoys meeting new people and engaging them as volunteers for these three wonderful organizations.  After earning her degree in Human Services Management from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Sarah worked as an education coordinator for the Houston Museum of Decorative Arts in Chattanooga and then as a case manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County in Iowa City, Iowa.  She and her family returned to beautiful Chattanooga in 2006 to be closer to family and the mountains!  Sarah is married to Sam Quattrochi and they have a very energetic two-year-old son.  She loves spending time outdoors, traveling, and working in her yard.
